Tagz is a nutrition snack based startup which was founded in 2019 at Bagalore, Karnataka. It manufactures chips which are known for their unique taste. They have loads of variety in terms of flavors like Tomato, Chilli, Salt Turpentine, Italian Cheese, Cream Onion, Masala Trekkin. Tagz is available in 2000 retailer stores (mostly Bangalore). They originally asked for Rs. 70 Lakhs for 1% equity which was later closed by the shark Ashneer Grover for the same price, but 2.75% equity.
Anish Basu Roy is the Founder and CEO of the TagZ Foods brand and he along with the Co-Founder, Sagar Bhalotia founded TagZ Foods in 2019. Anish Basu Roy has worked for Nokia and HealthifyMe before jumping on this startup. He completed his PGDM, Marketing from SCMHRD, Pune in 2006.
